Laurent Potdevin has devoted himself to working at companies deeply focused on the consumer experience and constant innovation over the past two decades. Laurent has more than 25 years in leading and elevating global premium brands across a broad consumer base and has demonstrated a unique ability to develop strong cultures and high performing teams. His additional expertise navigating complex back-end business structures, and vast experience in supply chain management, sourcing and operations has helped strengthen business models to support profitable rapid growth globally.

Laurent joined lululemon as CEO in Jan 2014, where he fueled the company’s global growth with a deep understanding of premium brands, best-in-class consumer experience, athletic apparel, technical products and innovation. Under his leadership, the originator brand focused on design and innovation, thereby securing lululemon as the global marketplace leader in the category. Over the course of 4 years, Laurent and his leadership team delivered best in class performance in terms of revenue and profitability expansion as well as shareholder return.

Prior to joining lululemon, Laurent was President of TOMS Shoes, rapidly expanding the brand into ten new countries while maintaining the company’s strong culture and 1:1 philanthropic model. During that time, he created and implemented the largest “gift in kind” supply chain in developing countries while creating jobs locally. Before TOMS, Laurent spent 15 years at Burton Snowboards, ten of those as President and President/CEO where he is credited with developing Burton into a global brand synonymous with the sport. Laurent’s appreciation for premium, luxury brands was forged early in his career at LVMH where he started in mergers and acquisitions for the group before working for Louis Vuitton in the United States leading regional operations.

Laurent has a passion for Haiti where he travels regularly. Over the past few years, Laurent has worked to bring manufacturing back to Haiti and has been instrumental in creating over 2000 jobs.

Laurent earned his undergraduate degree and Masters in Engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Geneva, Switzerland and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from ESSEC Business School in Paris.  An avid snowboarder, Laurent can be found carving it up on the mountain, playing golf, or catching waves in Southern California.
